Day 1: Arrival in Kathmandu
Altitude: Kathmandu: 1,320m
Our representative waiting at the Arrival terminal with a display board shall take you to your hotel. After you rest for a while, you can go for a short walk around the city. In the evening, we shall dine together enjoying typical Nepalese cuisine. These introductory meals shall give you a brief idea about our lunch and dinner in Nepal. Stay overnight in Kathmandu.
Day 2: Sightseeing in Kathmandu
Altitude: Kathmandu: 1,320m
Visit the world heritage sites of Kathmandu such as, the Pashupatinath Temple, Swayambhunath, Boudhhanath, and the Basantapur Durbar Square. Thamel is the place where you can shop your missing gears. In the late afternoon, we shall have a short meeting talking about our plan, preparation, and arrangement of the trek. Stay overnight in Kathmandu.
Day 3: Drive to Chamje
Altitude: Chamje: 1,410m
After the breakfast in the morning, you shall drive all the way to Chamje before starting any trekking. See the distant mountain getting nearer and nearer, the hills with houses here and there, the terraced fields, and the small shops standing at the edges of highway, as you make to Chamje. After you reach Chamje, you can pay visit to the waterfall there. Stay overnight at Chamje.
Day 4: Trek to Dharapani
Altitude: Dharapani: 1,960m
The trail goes through small villages, past the waterfalls and farmlands. Across the stream below the Chamje Village, an ascent via steep areas take you to Tal Village. Then comes the Manang district; past the Kodo Village, making several ascents and descents, the trail takes you to Dharapani. It is one of the largest villages in this district. Stay overnight in Dharapani.
Day 5: Dharapani to Chame
Altitude: Chame: 2,710m
The ridge in the forest leading to Chame has suffered landslides. Making through these sections, witnessing the views of Mt. Annapurna II, Annapurna IV, and Lamjung Himal, the trail comes to a hot spring. You can enjoy a bath in this natural hot spring. Chame is the district headquarter of Manang. After the bath, you can explore this town. Stay overnight in Chame.
Day 6: Chame to Pisang
Altitude: Pisang: 3,300m
Past several rivers and streams, and several villages, the trail ascents and descents several times. A walk through a steep valley takes you to the view the rock face of Paungda Danda—rising above 1500m above river, the rock is surely a worth sight. Witnessing the Mt. Annapurna II and the Pisang Peak, you shall descend down to the floor of Manang Valley—Pisang. Stay overnight at Pisang.
Day 7: Pisang to Manang
Altitude: Manang: 3,500m
Today's trail shall take you through Geru. Making through the Upper Pisang, witnessing the amazing views of Mt. Annapurna and Pisang Peak, you shall head towards Manang. The closer you come to Manang, the drier and colder climate becomes. One of the important place you might not want to miss to visit is the Barge Monastery, which is the largest in the Manang district. Stay overnight at Manang.
Day 8: Manang to Khangsar
Altitude: Khangsar: 3,745m
Past the gorge, you get the view of Tilicho Peak. Witnessing the Annapurna range, the trail make through several beautiful villages. Then comes the Tore monastery, past the Khangsar River, and the barrier, comes the Khangsar Village. It is a short journey today; you shall reach Khangsar from Manang in less than 4 hours. Stay overnight at Khangsar Village.
Day 9: Khangsar to Tilicho Base Camp
Altitude: Tilicho Base Camp: 4,140m
Past the grassy lands, the trail ascents a hillock, witnessing the amazing views of a whole valley. A sharp descend down brings you to the Tilicho Base Camp. You shall not find many teahouses here; you might even enjoy camping here. It takes about 5-6 hours from Khangsar to reach Tilicho Base Camp. Next day you shall visit the Tilicho Lake. Stay overnight at Tilicho Base Camp.
Day 10: Tilicho Base Camp to Tilicho Lake
Altitude: Tilicho Lake: 4,949m
Tilicho Lake is the only lake in the world situated at the highest altitude. The trail takes you through glacial moraine offering the views of Mt. Nilgiri, Tilicho, Mutinath, and Khangsar Peaks. Once you reach the lake, you shall not anything more than few more moments to devour the view of such beautiful lake. Since most of the time the lake remains frozen, it is also named the 'frozen lake'. After spending a while here, you shall return back to the Tilicho Base Camp full with the memories you just made. Stay overnight at Tilicho Base Camp.
Day 11: Tilicho Base Camp to Yak Kharka
Altitude: Yak Kharka: 4,040m
Exiting from the Marshyangdi River Valley, the trail goes through the alpine vegetation. Through the remains of the damaged old Khangsar village, the trail continues further to a wood bridge. This log bridge connects Yak Kharka and Gumsang. Yak Kharka is the place where you shall find lots of yaks grazing here and there. The view of Mt. Annapurna III is simply amazing from here. Stay overnight at Yak Kharka.
Day 12: Yak Kharka to Thorang Phedi
Altitude: Thorang Phedi: 4,420m
After a short walk, the trail meets a suspension bridge, across which lies the Ledar Village. An ascent uphill through great cliffs you reach the Thorang Phedi. It is named after Thorong La Pass because 'Phedi' means foothill; thus Thorang Phedi is at the foothill of Thorong La Pass. You get some of the best views of Mt. Syagang, Gundang, Khatungkan, and Thorung Peak. Stay overnight at Thorang Pheid.
Day 13: Thorong Pheid to Muktinath via Thorong La pass
Altitude: Thorong La Pass: 5,416m; Muktinath: 3,800m
Thorong La Pass is one of the highest passes in the world. Early in the morning, you shall ascend uphill on the moraine and rocky trail to the top of the pass. The prayer flags shall greet you welcome on the top. The top offers magnificent views of mountains, valleys, and glacier down. After spending a while here, you shall head towards Muktinath over glacial moraine. Muktinath is religiously important place for Buddhist and Hindus. Stay overnight at Muktinath.
Day 14: Muktinath to Jomsom
Altitude: Jomsom: 2,715m
After visiting the temple in the morning, and the water spouts, you shall walk past meadows, and cross several streams. The trail then takes you to the Kagbeni Village. Once you reach there, you shall find lots of Memorial Stupas. Visit the monastery there. Then, the trail follows the Kali Gandaki Valley. It takes 5-6 hours from Muktinath to reach Jomsom. Stay overnight at Jomsom.
Day 15: Flight to Pokhara
Altitude: Pokhara: 827m
After breakfast in the morning, you shall fly all the way to Pokhara. During the flight, you shall get the opportunity to look the Dhaulagiri and Annapurna ranges down below. Once you reach there, our representative shall take you to your hotel. After you rest for a while, you are free to stroll around. The day is yours—visit the waterfall, beautiful lakes, and do some boating there. Evening walk in the lakeside has a whole different feel. Stay overnight in Pokhara.
Day 16: Flight to Kathmandu
Altitude: Kathmandu: 1,320m
A flight from Pokhara takes you to Kathmandu. Our representative shall take you to your hotel there. You might need a good rest. You can do some shopping today. You can walk about the streets of Thamel. We shall enjoy local dishes at a popular restaurant of the town for dinner. Stay overnight in Kathmandu.
Day 17: Departure
After you are ready with your bags, our representative waiting outside your hotel shall take you to the airport. They shall then bade goodbyes and return back. Have a safe journey. Do recommend us to your friends. For your next trek in Nepal, do remember us as well.
