The Upper Dolpo Circuit Trek leads us to the mid-western Himalayan range of Nepal which is located between the Thebetian Plateau and the Dhaulagiri Himalayan range. The Upper Dolpo Circuit Trek is an excellent opportunity for hiking in a low hit area of Nepal. The region was a restricted tourist area until 1996. Similarly, the Great Himalayan Trail trekkers may have the opportunity to return in time and discover the unchanging Tibetan culture preserved 1200 years ago.
Most impressive is that the region still has the ancient religious gurus of Bon Po and Tibetan Buddhist culture. The search for the Upper and Lower Dolpo covers the country’s largest national park – She Foxundo National Park, with rough and sometimes obscure trails passing through many mountain villages. The park is also home to wildlife including musk deer, Himalayan blue sheep and special snow leopards. The area also provides shelter in an exciting race of Tibetan speaking.
The Upper Dolpo Circuit Track with Nepal Guide Tracks and Expedition starts with a sweep in Nepalganj, a city in southwestern Nepal. From there we take another short flight to Zuppel down to Duplo – where we begin our journey. From there we continue to follow the trail that leads to the street gompa. Ringmo and She Gompa are the highlights of this Upper Dolpo circuit track. We spend days exploring the deep green waters of Lake Poksundo and the majestic snowcapped mountains of Kanjibro Himal. We visit the remote village of She Gomba also known as the Crystal Monastery.
Our airport arrival and departure representative will greet you at Tribhuvan International Airport on your arrival schedule. Then you will be transferred to the hotel and our staff will help you until check-in procedure ends at Hotel.
